tour takes you to the Anatolian Civilizations Museum,
which was named the best museum of Europe in 1997, and
highlights of Cappadocia such as Goreme Open Air Museum,
Zelve, Ihlara Canyon & the underground city of Kaymakli.
It starts from Ankara airport and ends at Kayseri airport.
Itinerary
Day 1: Meet at the
Ankara Airport at around noon and drive to old district
of Ankara, which has a dominant view of the city. We
have lunch at a local restaurant and then visit the
Anatolian Civilizations Museum & Ataturk's Mausoleum.
In the afternoon, we drive to Cappadocia by Salt Lake
- the second biggest lake of Turkey - and visit Agzikarahan
Caravanserai en route. Overnight at a high quality cave
hotel in Cappadocia.
Day 2: Meet our guide and driver at
your hotel and start discovering Cappadocia's unique
landscape; first stop at Devrent (Pink Valley). Then
we head on to Zelve Open Air Museum which is one of
the first inhabited and last abandoned villages of Cappadocia.
Before lunch, our real encounter would be stopping by
Pasabag and wandering through the vineyards of Fairy
Chimneys village. We have lunch at a local restaurant
in Avanos where has been the centre of terra - cotta
art since 3000 BC. In the afternoon, we visit world
wide famous Open Air Museum of Goreme to witness the
living art of Christian & Byzantine history on cave
churches. We end the day climbing up to Uchisar fortress,
the highest point of Cappadocia. Overnight at a high
quality cave hotel in Cappadocia.
Day 3: After breakfast and checking
out, we hike around 5km in one of the most beautiful
valleys of Cappadocia: Red Valley. After the hike, we
drive to Mustafapasa for lunch at a 19th century village
house, hosted by a Turkish family. The ladies of family
cook the delicious meals of Cappadocia cuisine for you.
After lunch, we visit the underground city of Kaymakli
and Soganli Valley in the afternoon. The tour ends with
a transfer to Kayseri Airport for the evening flight
to Istanbul.
